mothers2mothers (m2m) trains and employs HIV-positive mothers as frontline health workers in sub-Saharan Africa to eliminate paediatric AIDS. Also known as Mentor Mothers, these women support pregnant women living with HIV to start and adhere to Prevention of Mother-To-Child Transmission (PMTCT) treatment through pregnancy and breastfeeding, where they have virtually eliminated generation transfer of HIV for five years in a row since 2014. To better support these Mentor Mothers, m2m embarked on a digital health transformation to digitise all paper-based records and processes, with the ultimate goal of improving client retention in care and adherence to treatment.
